The Role

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for laboratory equipment maintenance and ensure instruments are functioning to manufacturer’s specifications. This position is involved in all aspects, from equipment installation to maintenance, troubleshooting and optimization. Additionally, this position partners with outside vendors and manufacturers to coordinate new equipment installation and define preventive maintenance plans.

Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and manage laboratory equipment maintenance plans (preventive, corrective and predictive).

  • Support the restructure of laboratories, namely in creating conditions for new equipment installation (electrical, AVAC, gas lines, etc.)

  • Manage external maintenance contracts assuring they are up to date.

  • Perform internal preventive and corrective maintenance of laboratory equipment.

Your Profile


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering such as electrical or mechanic or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience in installation and maintenance of equipment in laboratory environment.

  • Experience in defining and executing maintenance plans and protocols according to manufacturer’s requirements.

  • Experience communicating and collaborating with internal and external colleagues and customers from diverse scientific, engineering, operational, and regulatory fields.

  • Knowledge of safety protocols in a laboratory setting.

  • Ability to document and report troubleshooting procedures and resolutions.

  • Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English.

  • Detail oriented and well organized.
